Why I Ran for Re-Election

It has been an honor to serve the residents of South Burlington as your City Councilor. Over the past several years, I’ve worked hard to listen closely, make thoughtful decisions, and approach every issue with respect, kindness and a genuine openness to different points of view.

Together, we’ve made real progress. We budgeted to keep the municipal taxes that you pay close to flat in real dollars, advanced the long-envisioned City Center, made the community more walkable and bikeable, and took significant steps to protect our natural resources and to address housing affordability, climate change and public safety.

I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished, but there’s more work to do. I’m running for re-election because I want to keep building on this momentum—to continue serving with integrity, collaboration and a clear vision for South Burlington’s future.
